Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using HCRIS.io ("Service"), operated by BID Partners LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service
HCRIS.io provides analytical access to public datasets published by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and other federal sources. We do not claim ownership of the underlying government data, which remains in the public domain. The arrangement, indexing, derivations, AI tooling, and software comprising the Service are our copyrighted work.
3. Accounts
Free accounts are available. Paid accounts require accurate contact and billing information. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Fees and billing
Subscription plans are billed annually in advance at the price shown at checkout. One-time purchases (single reports, report packs) are billed once at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the billing portal. Taxes are your responsibility.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) scrape, mirror, or systematically extract the Service's output in volumes inconsistent with your plan, (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute exports as a competing data product, (c) use the Service to make medical, credentialing, or licensure decisions about a specific individual without independently verifying the underlying source, or (d) attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or paywalls.
6. Data accuracy and limits
We surface data sourced from CMS, IRS, and other public publishers. While we refresh quarterly (or as upstream publishers update) and document the snapshot date on every export, we make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. The data lags reality by weeks to years depending on the source. Use the Service for analytical and editorial purposes, not as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions.
7. AI features
The Smart Query Builder uses a third-party large language model to translate your natural-language requests into structured queries. Output is presented as a preview before purchase; we recommend you verify the parsed query before checkout. Prompts may be retained for service operation and quality improvement.
8. Termination
You may cancel anytime via the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect 30 days after we post them; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
